That Christchurch earthquake is crazy and my thoughts go out to all the Cantabs affected.
It was interesting listening to the news reports this morning and hearing the angles people were talking about. For me, the main angle was that it brought back a lot of memories for me. I was only five at the time of the 1987 earthquake but I remember the actual quake as if it was yesterday. It made such an impact - not just on my memory but on our antique china collection.
So if you're looking at the images on the news or in the paper and it's bringing up some memories for you - I'm in the same boat. It sucks for the people of Christchurch and I guess we are in a good position to know how they are feeling. Sucks a lot.
I never would have picked Christchurch as the next place to have an earthquake.

I bet the Steamers wish they were scheduled to play Saturday night, at least they would have come away with a draw.
Shame about the earthquake too. Nice to see Mr Key go down there and spew out some P.C talk, it's not like he can do anything other than spend money that we don't have to fix it.
I had better stop now, because I will most likely offend somebody.
